The Garcia Gang: happy 4th of july!

yeah, yeah, yeah. i'm behind on posts. I KNOW. i love independence day! it's the best holiday of the year. it's all about hotdogs, hamburgers and fireworks. you can spend it with whoever you want!!! our 4th was awesome! my best friends, diane and adam, FINALLY stayed for a weekend. i was so happy because i miss them so much. i hate being so far away from them. well, adam actually came down the friday night before which was awesome. we went to the beach n diner/moo time creamery in coronado. we had dessert night, which was great for the boys, but as for me, well, let's just say a rootbeer float with chocolate ice cream is no bueno!!!! so sad! let me just say that this place is normally very very good, but man alive, the "chocolate cow" was soooo not. the next morning, we three (diane would be joining us later) woke up at the crack of dawn to go to coronado for the 4th of july parade and also jamie's homeward's 4th of july breakfast-so yummy, cooked by the chef who made our wedding cake. luckily, the monster energy drink team came and started handing out free monsters, which proved to me that miracles do happen. we were there by about 7am. i didn't know that the sun rose that early on a saturday. in the late afternoon, diane arrived and we headed to the shoreline downtown to the USS Midway, where we were going to watch FIREWORKS!!! yup, we went on a historical battleship to watch fireworks that were being shot off barges all over the san diego bay. beat that!!! we got to look all over the ship, there was a band playing michael jackson songs, as well as covers of other good music. we sat on the deck eating hotdogs and hamburgers. the fireworks were pretty cool except for the fact that we were sitting right next to this speaker that was BLASTING the music that went with the show. yeah, we were deaf for the rest of the night. all in all, GREAT 4TH OF JULY!
