the weekend

this last weekend was so much fun. jamie and i drove up to long beach and watched my old single ward's dance show with diane and adam. pretty much the funniest thing ive seen in a really long time. totally worth the drive. there were some dance routines that were pretty authentic, like the polynesian dances, but where on earth do people dance "hip hop" to n'sync? too good, lol. i did see a lot of old friends there that i really miss. because of that, i caved in and joined facebook. now, im just like everyone else. so sad. its so confusing and the layout is so chaotic, but i must endure!

saturday was fun as well. we tried to make it into huntington beach to see the big waves but it was taking too long to get there because of the surf contest, so we ended up in seal beach where we caught the end of the iron man competition. that was pretty cool to watch. you can tell it takes so much strength and control to do those races. yeah, i could never do that! after that, we went to have a bbq with nick and jenette and their friends which turned out to be soo much fun, even everyone tried to hide my food while i was on the phone!! shame on them! being in the pool was nice and all the guys played a really good game of basketball in the pool. definitely rough. i scored a basket from the hot tub. go me!!!

sunday, we went to brother given's son's mission farewell and going away party. it was awesome. jeffy spoke so well and you can tell he has a strong testimony. we're all so proud. hanging out with the given family was so fun. i love all those kids (they have 7!!!) and it was so nice to reconnect with them.

i cant wait for next weekend!
